Upcoming Events Important Dates Training Expectations 
           

UPCOMING EVENTS: 

Purple, Proud, and Loud Boot Camp:

*August 9, 10, & 11th @ MVHS

*8:00 A.M. to 4:00 P.M.

*Bring your physical, medical form, lunch, shoe money, and water bottle.

*Dress for practice-this means comfortable shorts and t-shirt that allow full movement and GOOD tennis shoes!

*ABSOLUTELY NO JEWELRY OF ANY KIND ANYWHERE!

Team Fundraiser:

*Parking for Rendezvous, TBD.

MANDATORY PRACTICES BEGIN 8/13!

*As of August 13th, all practices, fundraisers, games, and events are mandatory and the abscence policies will be in effect.

 

*AUGUST 8, 6:00 P.M., FALL SPORTS PARENT MEETING.

*AUGUST 9, 10, & 11-PURPLE, PROUD, & LOUD BOOT CAMP. PHYSICALS, INSURANCE, AND SHOE MONEY ($25 DEPOSIT) DUE!

*AUGUST 13-MANDATORY PRACTICES BEGIN!

*AUGUST 24-TEAM PICTURES!!

*AUGUST 31-SEPTEMBER 3: TEAM FUNDRAISER-PARKING FOR RENDEZVOUS!

*AUGUST 31-FIRST PERFORMANCE!!

            

SUMMER PERSONAL TRAINING GOALS:

*You should be able to run 1 mile. The time is not important for cheer, only that you build up the endurance to make it a mile! We often cheer at more than one game a day...that takes endurance!

*You should work up to 30 push-ups. We will do push-ups each time our team scores AND stunting takes a lot of strength!

*You should warm-up and stretch EVERYDAY! Increasing flexibility does not just happen...you have to work at it everyday. Stretching daily will help your jumps and kicks.

*PRACTICE, PRACTICE, PRACTICE!!!! Practice all of your jumps, kicks, motions, and cheers (if you are returning and remember them).

*Pilates, yoga, and crunches will help develop your core. This is important for everything we do in cheer.
